My passion for wildlife developed while growing up in the diverse forests of northern British Columbia. Consequently, I became interested in wildlife sciences after experiencing the negative consequences of forest mis-management and overexploitation. After starting my academic journey at the University of Northern BC, I moved to Newfoundland and joined WEEL as a Master’s student in September 2021. My project takes place in Anishinaabe, Cree, and Métis territory (Riding Mountain, MB) and aims to develop an accessible integrated population model to help facilitate non-traditional stakeholders in the process of wildlife management.
